VAT Exemption

You can claim for VAT exemption with Tenura by filling out an online form which is a government requirement if you want to claim VAT exemption.

Who can claim for VAT exemption?

If you are chronically (long term) sick or disabled and the products are for personal use.

Charities?

Charities can claim for VAT exemption if they make the products purchased available for use to a disabled person for home or domestic use.

Am I Eligible?

If you are in any doubt as to whether you are eligible to receive goods or services zero-rated for VAT from Tenura, you should consult Notice 701/7 VAT reliefs for disabled people or contact HM Revenue & Customs National Advice Service on 0845 010 9000 before signing the declaration.

Please note: There are penalties for making false declarations.

If you are eligible

You can fill out a VAT exemption form while registering, or during checkout.

Completing either process will mean all visits from then on if you are VAT exempt will mean you can order all eligible products VAT free.

You can purchase most Tenura daily living aids minus the 20% VAT fee.

Prices with and without VAT are displayed on all eligible products.

If you are not eligible

We are obliged to charge you the full 20% VAT fee on your order total.

The products price including VAT will be displayed clearly on every product.
